Racket and basic grips
Start with racket choice, grip pressure and basic grip concepts.
For beginners, a racket you can swing comfortably is more useful than chasing extra weight or stiffness. Hold it securely without squeezing excessively.
Continental is commonly used for serves, volleys and some slices, while forehands often use Eastern or Semi-Western variations. Pick a comfortable starting grip and build a repeatable contact point.
